A few years ago, proDAD introduced a professional version of SAL’s image stabilization software. The authors promise a particularly careful stabilization of the image, you will have tools for the ability to correct shaking, staggering and distorted images.

It is no secret that the stabilization solution proDAD Mercalli is one of the best on the market. The program simply imports its own video clips, after which they are analyzed, the editor can trimmate and adjust them, and then export to various formats, such as ProRes 4444, 442 (all options), AVC/H.264, VC/H.265 and other codecs.

The software allows you to perform a breakdown and rotation of the image, as well as a package analysis of several videos. There are various universal stabilization profiles (also for action cameras and drones) that can be applied after analysis, but can also be redesigned manually.

For better control, you can split the preview horizontally or vertically and thus include the “before” form. SD, HD and UHD resolutions (2,7K and 4K) are supported. The application is designed for a native 64-bit version and is said to offer a “clenched” user interface, which was developed in accordance with the wishes of “more than 30 video industry professionals”. Thus, according to the company’s statement, it guarantees an intuitive workflow.
