Open Sound Meter v1.4.1

Open Sound Meter is an open source acoustic measurement tool based on C++ that supports real-time acoustic analysis, spectrum analysis and signal processing. It can collect sound data from a microphone on a computer or mobile device and provides an intuitive visual interface for laboratory, field measurement and educational scenarios. Its code is completely open source (in accordance with the GNU GPL), and users are free to modify and extend features.

Software features

Basic Acoustic Measurement
Real-time sound level meter (RTA): Supports A/B/C/D frequency metering and F-value metering, can measure sound pressure level (LAF, LCF, LPC, etc.), in line with international standards (such as IEC 61672).
Spectrum analysis: Provides real-time spectrogram and spectrum waterfalls to visualize the frequency distribution and time domain changes of sound.
Pulse response and coherence analysis: Used to measure resonant time, room pulse response (RIR), and signal coherence in acoustic environments for acoustic modeling and sound system debugging.

Quick Start Guide For Open Sound Meter

Advanced analysis tools
Time-domain and frequency domain analysis: Supports time domain waveform display, phase response analysis, and group delay calculation to help users deeply understand signal characteristics.
Multi-channel measurement: Compatible with multi-microphone input, support synchronous acquisition and contrast analysis, suitable for complex sound field measurement.
Project management: Users can save and load measurement project files, automatically record all settings (such as filter parameters, sampling rate, etc.), for subsequent reuse or sharing.

Additional practical functions
Wavelength Calculator: Quickly calculate the corresponding acoustic wavelengths of different frequencies, aiding acoustic design.
Virtual signal generation: Built-in signal generator that generates sine waves, white noise, pulse signals, etc. for equipment calibration or testing.
Automatic update check: The software regularly detects new versions and prompts updates to ensure that users are always using the latest features.
