CPU-Z able to show different information about your processor, such as the name and manufacturer, frequency, manufacturing process, frequency multiplication coefficient, partially determined the “dispersence” of the processor. In addition, information about first and second-level caches, supported sets of commands and so on.
Sometimes processors with the same name hide a non-equal “stitching” – different cores with different steppings, capabilities, different frequencies at the same rating, produced on different technical processes, etc. d. Part of this data could be obtained by examining the inscriptions on the CPU cover, but they are usually reliably hidden in the system unit under the couler and layer of thermopaste. Therefore, a much more convenient way to obtain such information will be the use of the CPU-Z utility.
Possibilities of the program:
- Accurately determines the main characteristics of the processor: the name, type of kernel and stepping, the connector used, support for certain multimedia instructions, volume and parameters of cache memory
- Provides data on current operating modes: processor and tire frequencies, multiplier, voltage supply
- Provides information about the volume and current operating mode of RAM, content of SPD-blocks of memory modules. Additionally – basic information about the motherboard and a separate benchmark of memory latency.
– Added microcode audit report in the “Motherboard” / BIOS tab.
– Improved support for AMD Strix Point (including GPU).
– AMD Granite Redge/Strix Point: p-states of memory.
– Improved support for the Intel Arrow Lake clock speed.
Intel Core Ultra 5 235, 225 and 225F (Arrow Lake).
– Intel Core i9 14901KE and 14901E, Core i7 7701KE, Core i5 14501E and 14401E/F (Raptor Lake).
OS: Windows 2003, XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 10 (32 and 64-bit).
