Run-Command:

Run-Command is an alternative to Windows dialog Run standard. Dialog Run-Command looks similar to the Windows dialog but offers the button “Run as Administrator” convenient, as well as the option to save and schedule the Run command on your menu Favorites for quick access in the future.

You may not know, this Command works more or less like command line interface a line. In the Gnome , the command Run is used to run applications through the command terminal. It can be accessed by pressing Alt+ F2. KDE has similar functionality called KRunner . It can be accessed through the main binding similar.

Starting with Windows 95 , Run command can be accessed through the Start menu and also through the shortcut key ⊞ Win+ R. although the Run command is still present in Windows Vista and later, it no longer appears directly on the Start menu, instead it is the new search box and a shortcut to the Run command in the menu accessories.

If you often use the command “Run” to access the functionality of the Windows instead of relying on shortcuts or the Start Menu, you can see the Run-Command is a useful option.
